Thirty-two performances posted, four more already queued through Nov 2 — from the Crossroads Guitar Festival launch to a Tiny Desk, a Ryman stage, and a Minneapolis bar room.
Why "Frisson"?
Named for the shiver down your spine
Frisson is the word for that sudden chill — the goosebumps moment when a live performance lands exactly right. A held note at the Gorge. A violin sliding into a jam. A voice cracking in a quiet room in Minneapolis.
Every morning at 9 AM ET, Frisson Sessions posts one performance that earns that feeling — the best live version of a great song, found and shared. The streak started September 29, 2026 with a double shot from the Crossroads Guitar Festival, and it hasn't missed a day since.
And because listening has a way of turning into writing, the site is also home to the Song Composer — a pocket writing room for building chord progressions, mapping song structure, and drafting lyrics.
